SB County Psychological Association Tea Fire Response
Dear “Organization/Press”,
Several members of the Santa Barbara County Psychological Association have been working to offer community support in the aftermath of the Tea Fire. First, several press releases were distributed related to resilience and coping following this crisis in our midst, including resources which may be able to help with our responses to crisis.
In addition, a group of members from the Santa Barbara County Psychological Association have committed to provide direct supportive counseling to any person affected by the fire. All are licensed clinical psychologists with doctoral degrees who have training in dealing with stress and crisis. While their availability may vary, they have each committed to provide at least three hours of free consultation to individuals who directly experienced or have been displaced by the fire.
